Fruits
Fruits are one of the four basic food groups.
Fruits contain lots of vitamins and minerals, especially several groups of antioxidants.
Those are critical for repairing defects and damage processes in cells and thus preventing disease and slowing aging.
Fruits also contain high levels of various types of dietary fibers.
One group of fibers contribute to a feeling of satiety and reducing bad cholesterol.
The second group can be found in the soluble fibers that help the intestines of the digestive process waste and clean it from inside, including the cancer-causing substances.
